LibreOffice

Here is some software that I have been using, both at home and at work, almost daily for over 10 years now, and I am surprised it is not more widely adopted.

LibreOffice is free, works across different computer operating systems, and is compatible with a wide range of file formats, including the ones found in Microsoft Office.

Below is an example of Writer, a word processor.

Below is a spreadsheet example, Calc.

Below is the presentation software, Impress.

These examples are for the three programs that I use most often in LibreOffice. It also has some other programs included, such as a database system.

It is free (did I mention that?), easy to download and use, portable, and compatible. I have used it regularly for over a decade. I keep being surprised when I see other people paying for and using Microsoft Office. I’m trying to spread the word that LibreOffice is an option. Give it a try.
